Inn Partners has been blessed in recent years to work with many fine Inns in the state of New Hampshire.  Our easterly neighbor is known by many as “The Granite State” for its myriad formations and quarries and by others as “The Mother of Rivers”, with the Connecticut River flowing from its northernmost point. This Conway area Inn for sale offers guests and Innkeepers alike direct access to the year round activities and attractions that keep the state vital.

The Inn as farmhouse, circa 1826.

The Inn is aptly named after the first recorded European to climb Mount Washington (call us for details) and, in its first incarnation, was the farmhouse of a 430-acre family farm. The Inn’s Great Room, with an arresting natural stone fireplace, is original to the circa 1826 farmhouse. (The barn and blacksmith shop have long since been razed!) The Inn retains much of the charm of its former self, while owners have continuously upgraded the Inn to meet the needs of the modern day guest.

The Inn’s intimate climate is further enhanced by its guest accommodations. The Inn offers 13 guestrooms with private baths en suite and most with magnificent mountain views. In addition, several rooms have gas or electric fireplaces, whirlpool tubs and TV/DVD players. Public spaces abound and include a dining room with picture windows, the Great Room with natural stone fireplace, an outdoor pool and terrace and a sun filled tavern where guests enjoy cocktails, dinner and games.

The resort destination of Conway, New Hampshire, is minutes from the Inn and offers a diversity of options for owners and guests of the Inn. North Conway, a mere 20 minute drive from the Inn, is home to the renowned International Mountain Climbing School, which offers beginner, advanced and specialty climbing courses with Mount Washington as their training ground. North Conway is also home to the Settlers’ Green Outlet Shopping Center, one of New Hampshire’s tax-free, designer shopping destinations.

Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast and is a draw for guests throughout the year. While the Inn is minutes from the 800,000+ acres of Mount Washington State Park, guests enjoy views of the White Mountains (South Moat, Whitehorse Ledge and, of course, Mount Washington) from the Inn’s dining room and terrace and wooded trails surround the Inn for guests’ leisurely enjoyment on skis, snowshoes or by foot.

The Kancamagus Highway, a designated American Scenic Byway, covers a 35 mile stretch of New Hampshire, from Lincoln to Conway and twists and turns a mere .5 miles from the Inn. The Kancamagus is a well-known route for leaf peeping during the fall season.  Call us now to arrange a visit to this outstanding Conway area Inn for sale.
