Killington Resort Area Inn for sale

Killington, Vermont, has long been a celebrated winter leisure travel destination and is home to the largest ski resort in Vermont. In recent years, however, the town, driven by substantial investment in off season attractions, has expanded its reach to become a true year round destination. In 2017, Killington Mountain announced a 110 million dollar upgrade, which will include 6-7 multi-family lodges, a remodeling of the base lodge, a new fixed grip chairlift and other upgrades to the facility. This Killington Resort area inn for sale is located at the center of the activity, but enjoys a tranquil location, just off of Killington’s access road.

In many ways, summer in Killington is becoming the season to experience. Surrounded by the Appalachian and Long Trails, Killington is a prime location for outdoor enthusiasts and there are no limits to activities available to visitors. Killington’s Adventure Center has added over 10 new attractions and a new level of energy in the last few years, including ATV Mountain Tours, a 5,000 square foot maze and a 4 story, 42 obstacle ropes course. And that barely scrapes the surface.  One of the most thrilling activities is the Beast Mountain Coaster, a 4,800 foot-long alpine coaster that twists and turns through the Green Mountains with 360 degree corkscrews.

Phase four of Killington’s Mountain Bike Park expansion is moving forward, as two new intermediate level trails are currently being built on the mountain. This is after three new trails and one new lift were added in 2016 to support the high demand for this summer activity. This July, the annual Beast of the East Pro GRT will have top mountain bikers from around the world competing on the brand new Goat Skull trail at Ramshead Mountain.

Due to the difficulty and diversity of its terrain, Killington is one of three sites in the U.S. chosen to host the Under Armour Mountain Running Series. (The two other courses are located at Central Oregon’s Mt. Bachelor and Colorado’s Copper Mountain.)

If golf is your game, there is no better place to enjoy Killington’s mountain breezes and astounding vistas than the Geoffrey Cornish designed 6,186-yard golf course. The Pico Sports Center and Killington Grand Spa add a level of luxury and comfort to round out the resort experience. Beyond ongoing activities at Killington, events are scheduled for nearly every weekend in summer, from a free Concert Series to the Killington Wine Festival, which features over 500 wineries for tastings, wine dinners and more.

Another opportunity is presented by a variety of options for owner’s quarters and access to the #1 rated public elementary school in Vermont, according to NICHE.
