Sometimes you wonder. Could I be missing something? Or can it be them? I would like some help. Let me hear your side of this conundrum.
I am talking about one of my favorite current transfer clients, Stone Hill Inn in Stowe, Vermont. It is replete with all the features sought by future Innkeepers, but so far has elicited a paucity of serious interest. Surely, 9 spacious guestrooms with double sided fireplaces, Jacuzzi brand spa tubs and king beds with luxury linens do not discourage future Innkeepers. Two parlors back to back and a game room large enough for indoor polo matches might discourage some not possessed of ponies. Other candidates might not have enough automobiles for the three bay garage, and others may not have a family large enough for the three bedroom, 2 and ½ bath owner’s quarters.
Perhaps the 9.42 acres abutting the mountain road requires too much care. The biggest problem for some may be the required morning exercises in the courtyard.
Finally, Stone Hill Inn is very reasonably priced at $1,650,000. After 20% down payment, the cash flow will support the ensuing debt service. We would love to show you this outstanding, yea, unique 9 guestroom Bed and Breakfast. We will happily excuse you from morning exercises.
