It is our pleasure to announce the successful transfer of the Highland Lodge in Greensboro, Vermont. New owner, Heidi Lauren Duke, is a graduate of our Seminar for Future Innkeepers and we were pleased to represent her in the transfer process. Congratulations also to long term owners of the Highland Lodge and, now, emeritus Innkeepers, David and Wilhelmina Smith.
Highland Lodge is located in Greensboro, Vermont, in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. The Inn offers guests magnificent views of Caspian Lake and access to the Greensboro Nordic trail system in winter. The Craftsbury Outdoor Center, Circus Smirkus, Sterling College, Jasper Hill Farm and Hill Farmstead Brewery are also close at hand, making Greensboro a strong Vermont destination.
The Inn has a history of hospitality spanning nearly a century, which Heidi plans to honor as she restores the property to a classic Bed and Breakfast Inn, while making necessary changes to upgrade the property to offer guests modern amenities. We wish Heidi the best in her future endeavors (we will be sure to update you to her progress!) and David and Wilhelmina a well deserved retirement!
